The studios at the Poor Farm total five-thousand square feet of the nine-thousand square foot building. Extensive renovation and reconstruction has created large, open light-filled spaces.
The studios are particularly suited for Brian's large-scale paintings drawings and watercolors. Additional use of the space includes a professional wood shop and a gallery.
Wilbur's use of the space includes a writing studio and the storage and construction of props for her plays. Wilbur collaborates with two social justice theater groups, Mankato's Aktion Club Theater and the New Ulm Players, to create productions that deal with issues related to the disability community. She also writes nature-based poetry.
